Changing Faces, Using Spaces

By October 12, 2023No Comments

Summer of ’23 was a busy one for NPRD.

In July, past Board Member, Kelvin Verity, filled one of the vacant Director seats. Along with his years of experience supporting the district’s activities, he brings a commitment to the evolution of a comprehensive regional trails system for locals and visitors alike. Welcome Back!!

In August, Matt Stanger joined the Board of Directors, filling another vacant seat. His playful nature pairs with a business professionalism and makes him a healthy fit for a recreation district. He is looking forward to growing some traditional rec-programs.

At the end of the summer, Haley O-G stepped down as the Facilities Coordinator, as her focus is moving more to her growing family. Thank you for your heartfelt work and supportive energy over the past year, as we emerged from pandemic slumber. Your work made it possible to do all we did.

The NPRD Campus in use:

May: Launched a weekly series of activities known as Try It Tuesdays, tapping into local talent and resources to offer a variety of recreational and avocational topics. (See more on our Facebook Page –

June: Hosted live bluegrass music in the NPRD Campus Yard, with Birds of Play.

July & August: The Campus was host to workshop weekends & retreats for community members, with Craig & Amy’s Wild Writing, and Conscious Yoga Collective’s Healing Arts Festival.

September: Weekly classes from local instructors returned to The Livery.

And so the seasons change….

BTW: There are still two seats open on the Board of Directors.
